Privacy Policy

Application: Chronostone (com.SP.gemquest)
Last updated: 18 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Chronostone (the "Game", "we", "us") handles information when you install and use the Game on Android devices. By using the Game you agree to the practices described below.

1. Summary

The Game shows advertising only as optional rewarded ads: short videos you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward. Ads are never forced and never interrupt play. When you choose to watch one, the ad provider may process your device’s advertising identifier (see Section 6). The Game does not include any third-party analytics or crash-reporting service, and does not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.

Data leaves your device in four situations: when you make an in-app purchase (or the Game connects to Unity Gaming Services to keep your purchases valid), when the Game sends anonymous play statistics as described in Section 2, when you choose to watch a rewarded ad (Section 6), and when the Game backs up your progress so that reinstalling it on the same device does not erase what you have earned (Section 2). You can turn the statistics off at any time in the Game's Settings.

2. Information we collect

Anonymous play statistics. The Game records gameplay events — level numbers and counters such as wins, losses and moves used — tagged with a random install identifier generated on first launch. This identifier is not your advertising ID, not a device ID, and is not linked to any account. The statistics contain no name, email address, location or device identifier. They are transmitted to our server (hosted on Cloudflare) so we can see which levels are too hard and fix them. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Other Settings ("Anon. Stats"), and delete the collected data via Settings → Other Settings → Delete My Data. Uninstalling the Game or clearing its storage also deletes the local copy.

3. How we use the information

We do not sell your personal data. We ourselves do not use your data for advertising or profiling; ad personalization, if you allow it, is performed by the ad provider as described in Section 6.

4. Third-party services

The Game includes software from the following providers, which process data under their own privacy policies:

Besides Unity LevelPlay, which serves the optional rewarded ads, the Game does not include Firebase or any other analytics or attribution SDK. Play statistics are collected by our own code, not by a third-party SDK.

5. In-app purchases

All purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details, bank information, or billing address. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy.

6. Advertising

The Game shows rewarded ads only — short videos that you explicitly choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward (an extra life, a doubled daily reward, or a free chest). There are no banner ads, no interstitials and no forced ads: if you never tap an ad button, you never see an ad.

Ads are served by Unity LevelPlay. Before your first ad, the Game asks whether ads may be personalized. If you agree, the ad provider may use your device’s advertising identifier to select ads; if you decline, you receive generic ads instead — the reward is the same either way. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Other Settings → Ad Preferences, and you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device’s Google settings.

7. Children

The Game is intended for users aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention and security

Purchase records and anonymous player identifiers are retained by Unity Gaming Services and Google Play according to their own retention schedules, and for as long as needed to honour your purchases. Anonymous play statistics are retained on our server only for as long as they are useful for balancing and improving the Game. Progress backups are kept while you play; each new backup replaces the previous one, and the backup is deleted when you use Delete My Data. Local game data remains on your device until you remove it. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we handle, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Data processed by the ad provider when you watch a rewarded ad is retained according to Unity’s own privacy policy.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can delete your data yourself, from inside the Game. Open Chronostone, go to Settings → Other Settings, and tap Delete My Data. This removes your anonymous player profile and the purchase records attached to it, immediately and without contacting us. It also deletes the play statistics stored on your device, discards the random install identifier — so any statistics already on our server can no longer be associated with your installation — and deletes the progress backup stored on our server. See Delete your data for the full details.

For any other request, contact us using the details in Section 11.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this address with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Game after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
